Blue Velvet offers a professional gift wrapping service for all your celebrations using beautiful wrapping papers, ribbons and embellishments, whether it be for individuals or corporate giving.


Wrapping a gift is much more than ensuring the element of surprise, it is an important part of the gift giving experience and Blue Velvet are here to help create that unwrapping experience.


Blue Velvet are passionate about gift packaging and making that memorable impression. We can offer various gift wrapping ideas for different occasions whether it is birthday, anniversary, special celebration, wedding, showers or corporate gifting, we can ensure the recipient is given that special wrapping experience. 


We also have a range of gifts pick especially for you from various suppliers and some gifts which are exclusive to Blue Velvet. We are happy to add a gift wrapping service to any of our gifts in the shop, which is normally shown as an add-on.

See some common questions and answers below

  • Is there a minimum number of gifts?

    No. There is no minmum number of gifts that can be wrapped throughout the year.  However, there is a minimum number of 5 gifts for the Christmas period.

  • Can I choose which paper to use?

    Yes.  We have a selection of papers for each gift wrapping package which we would be happy to show you.  If there is a specific colour theme that you woud like us to use, just let us know and we will coordinate appropriately. 

  • Can you use my own paper and ribbon?

    Yes.  We are happy to use your own gift wrapping paper, ribbons and embellishments, but you must make sure that there is enough for all the gifts to require wrapping, we are happy to help with this.

  • What's the difference between gift sizes?

    Size bracket for gifts will be agreed prior to wrapping.  


    The following is a general guide:

    • Small gifts - max 20cm x 15cm x 5cm - such as phone, jewellery, small chocolates, books
    • Medium gifts - max 30cm x 20cm x 15cm - such as wine bottle, ipads, t-shirt
    • Large gifts - max 40cm x 25cm x 20cm - such as laptop, boardgames
    • Extra large or odd shapes - quoted separately

  • What is the difference between packages?

    The packages are design to give a variety of options depending on what type of wrapping service is requried and number of gifts -

    • Classical which is plain wrapping paper, ribbon and tag without any embellishments.  Simple and elegant with an air of sophistication.
    • Luxe which is plain/patterned wrapping paper, ribbon, tag and embellishment using specialist wrapping techiques such as pleating.
    • Indulgence is for those who would like to have all their gifts wrapped to classic or luxe standard through out the year.  Agreed on an individual basis.
    • Your Finery is for those who don't necessary have the time to wrap but have the wrapping paper, ribbon, tags that they would like us to use.
    • Our specialist wrap package is for those who want something a little bit different from the standard wrapped gifts such as specific themes eg.. wizard, tractors; innovative gift wrapping design ideas

  • Can you delivery the wrapped gifts?

    Yes.  Gifts can be wrapped and delivered back to you for a delivery fee, which will depend on location.  This will be agreed prior to any wrapping commencing.

  • Do you run workshops?

    Yes.  We have a basic gift wrapping workshop which is usually about 3 hours for you to practice some gift wrapping techniques.  Look out on our socials and newsletter for next available courses.

  • Can you wrap last minute gifts?

    Yes.  We are happy to help to wrap last minute gifts but there will be an extra charge levied for this service.  Please contact to discuss further.
